What is the best car insurance around?

posted by admin in March 1st, 2010
in car insurance

I am planning to enroll my new car. I want a complete coverage but at a reasonable cost. I don’t wanna be spending too much just for my car insurance. Help please…Thanks a lot.

Just get a quote from insurers you get from yellow pages,. the internet, the TV, the radio.
Just don’t go for the first price they quote you but spend a few days collecting data.

How can car insurance be sexist but not other things? Could insurers change more based on race?

posted by admin in February 27th, 2010
in car insurance

Statistics show young men have more accidents so naturally they will pay more for car insurance. IF statistics showed one race got in more accidents or one race had their cars stolen more could insurance companies legally charge more to them? Serious answers only, please.

Car insurance is not "sexist". It does, however, base it’s rates on proven statistical data. Unfortunately, insurance is the one business that must decide how high their experenses will be BEFORE they incur the costs. There can be no profit if it’s just a guessing game. Once the statistics are verifiable, they must be submitted to the insurance commissioners of that state to be approved before the rates can be released to the company to be used.

If there was a capability to determine someones exact race 100% and there was statistical data to back the rate structure based on any particular races driving habits, I believe there would be scaled rates based on race.

Currently rates are based on marital status, age, occupation, credit history, claims data, sex, type of vehicle, frequency and reason for use of vehicle and multiple other factors.

Tennessee Car Insurance

posted by admin in February 26th, 2010
in car insurance

Unlike most states, Tennessee car insurance is required not by all drivers to insure vehicles for use on roads and highways. However, you have to comply with financial responsibility laws, this means that your licenses can be suspended if you are not insured and get a violation or get into an accident causing more than $50 worth of damage. The first step in getting insurance would be to get a Tennessee car insurance quote, you can do that by contacting a car insurance agent or a insurance company provider directly. When contacting an agent or an insurance company request different coverages in order to see what coverages is the right one for you and your budget.

Insurance rates can be a financially nightmare but getting Tennessee Car insurance doesn’t have to be one also. The fact is that everyone has to pay for insurance but no one like to pay for it. So when getting a car insurance quote in Tennessee ask how you can reduce your rates, because everyone likes to save a little bit of money. When you have automobile insurance in Tennessee you have coverages for any accidents that can occur at anytime.

In Tennessee insurance is not required but being financial responsible is, this means that you must have some form of evidence, either proof of insurance (an insurance card or statement from an insurance company that does business in Tennessee) or proof from the Department of Safety, stating that you have placed a deposit or bond covering the requirements of financial responsibility.

Being financial responsible might mean that you purchase Tennessee car insurance, and the best way is to purchase the required minimum liability policy in the state. Any minimum liability policy on car insurance in Tennessee will include bodily injury coverage of at least $25,000 per injured person up to a total of $50,000 per total accident, and property damage liability coverage with a minimum limit of $10,000. Every insured in this state will have these limits of liability but there are also other coverages to think about such as collision & comprehensive and rental reimbursement.

Even though insurance is not required in this state, it’s a good idea to have and saving money on Tennessee car insurance and have a cheap car insurance is not that difficult. Doing a little bit of research is a great way to help you find the best auto insurance policy that is best suited for your needs. One example would be, go out and get as many quotes on car insurance in Tennessee as possible and then compare the quotes to whichever fits you. Remember to always find the best ways to save on insurance with the best coverages for your needs.

Is it Safe to Provide Personal Data When Getting an Auto Insurance Quote?

posted by admin in February 26th, 2010
in auto insurance

When acquiring an auto insurance quote online, many individuals are concerned about giving out their personal data. This fear exists because they do not want that data to be used for purposes other than that of an auto insurance quote. That is a reasonable fear in the day and age when some companies collect a person’s information with the intention of selling it to a third party. However, not all companies do such a malicious task, but some may feel that there is no need to have to provide their personal information for something as simple as an auto insurance quote.

The truth is, there is a reason behind the need for such information, but, as stated before, there is concern amongst individuals about their information staying private. That concern is not at all outlandish, but a self-respecting company that really wants business from those seeking quotes from them will gain the respect of their prospective customers if they keep their information private. By not sharing information builds trust and will give an individual reason to utilize the insurance services that that company has to offer. An auto insurance company is not going to gain new business by violating that trust.

Building that trust

The trust is built the moment the prospective customer begins typing their information into the form fields on the website. They keep this information private for both you, the customer, and for their own well-being. They are not going to jeopardize the cost-saving method of providing auto insurance quotes online by sharing information with third parties. They would literally be jeopardizing their entire system, which would not be good considering the online quote system is how many insurance companies are acquiring their customers today. If they do not have an online quote system, then they do not have a working system to acquire new customers. It is as simple as that.

There is also the fact that they may acquire new customers, but could lose the customers if those individuals find that their information has been sold to third parties. Again, any self-respecting company is not going to shoot themselves in the proverbial foot by doing such a thing. Their business comes from providing auto insurance policies and not selling your information.

So is it safe?

Yes, it is safe to provide your information. It is necessary to make sure who the quote is being provided to, especially if you become a customer. Credit score will not be affected and sign-up is not automatic. A social security number should not be requested since there is technically no need for it just for a quote. Quotes are safe and free. Quotes also do not obligate an individual to take the insurance. The company is simply providing the prospective customer with a tool to make the best informed decision possible regarding which auto insurance is the best to fit their individual needs. There are no ulterior motives happening when receiving a quote. It is just a company wishing to form new relationships with customers and provide services that can make the customer very happy.

In the end, the auto insurance company has provided their quote, the customer has made a decision, and the auto insurance company acquires a new customer. That is their goal in providing the useful auto insurance quote tool online. They are certainly going to benefit more by having a new customer than violating the trust of those who seek them out and selling their information to strangers. This is one way a business can cause serious damage to themselves, so why would they want to do that? The point is that they wouldn’t.

What is the car insurance company that offers 40% off for teenagers?

posted by admin in February 25th, 2010
in car insurance

What is the car insurance company that offers 40% off for teenagers if they dont use the car later than 11.00 at night , ive heard eople go on about it but cant find it! Or if you no any other ways can get cheaper car insurance , im 18 and they all seem to cost a bomb!

that insurance scheme using a tracking device to verify whether you will use it between certain hours or base it on the number of miles and roads used, was piloted by Norwich Union and has not yet been released publically, to my knowledge!

I’ve found some helpful info here too:

How do I find out which insurance company I last held car insurance with?

posted by admin in February 23rd, 2010
in car insurance

My car insurance expired a year ago. I didn’t renew it as I had a company car. I now have my own car again and need proof of my no claims. However, I can’t remember which company I was insured with and can’t find the old insurance certificate!

There are a number of things you can do to find your car insurance coverage history & claim history:

* Look through old bank statements / credit card statements. Because there’s usually a company name in the description line for your payments, you can probably find out which auto insurance company covered you at that time.
* Contact your local DMV - your DMV may be able to tell you about your previous insurer, but with no claims… maybe not. Here’s a site that lists direct links to US DMV websites: http://www.dmvlist.com
* Get a CLUE Report - a report from this site will outline your claim history for vehicles / property for your future insurer. If the other options fail, this would be the way to go. You can find out more information here: https://www.choicetrust.com though, I’m really unfamiliar with it.

The last may be more what you’re looking for, but checking bank statements and credit card statements may be faster and cheaper.
